About the Breed
Many factors affect lifetime and one of the main is a genetic factor. An average lifetime of bullmastiff is 8-9 years. Though I met bullmastiffs, which were in a satisfactory form at 10 years and lived up to 12. Much depends on feeding and physical exercises. Obesity is very dangerous for dogs because complicates heart function and reduces time of life. Bullmastiffs become old at the age of 8 and if pass this line most likely live several years more. Old dogs need good food reach in cellulose, minerals and vitamins. They also need as much attention as puppies and young dogs. Hard physical work is harmful for old dogs but they need to limber up and move exactly as much as they want.
